Reflection after using technology
Using this spreadsheet was difficult to do to a certain extent but easy as the same time. The difficult part was having the students rotate to use the computer and to take turns to create their group page. All the students wanted to participate in doing it. A good fix for this would be to incorporate this type of technology in the very begining so the students are more aware of how to use. I liked using this because it was different for my students. It made them feel like "big" kids when they would enter their estimated and actual data. The students enjoyed the thinking process in creating their own page by putting the information where they wanted to place it.

1st grade with technology!!!!
wow! I am so nervous to use technology with my students. My students are all wonderful but are a handful and a half. The technology that my students will create is a capacity spread sheet where students will place their estimate and the actual amount. Each student will go to the assigned computer in the classroom in their groups to enter the information. Once they have completed their tasks the students will go back to the assigned computer and enter the actual amount.

The magjic of voice threads
When I heard of voice threads I was thinking of something completely different. I started looking over all the different uses of these threads and some were very interesting and can be incorporated in so many different ways. I liked this voice thread that had different kids talk about why they loved certain parts of the school. It had all different grades starting from Pre-k through 6th grade. All the different grade levels would be able to see what the other students at this school like by hearing their voice threads and their pictures.

The beauty of google docs
Where do we start with these Google docs, these are some great little gadgets that you can use in your lesson plans in order to have your child be more involved with the lesson. The one I like the most is the uploading of documents. This is such a good little tool to use as a whole class, everyone can upload their work and all the classmates and even the teacher can read what they have wrote about and insert any comments or helpful hints to make the paper stronger. This also has the students working together and another great way to do peer review but in a new way.
Using blogs for HOTS intergration with my 1st grade
Blogs would be great to use during any type of writing assignments so they are able to revise their peers assignments and give them ideas or any helpful changes they might want to do on their paper. This would encourage students to work with each other in a new and exciting way. Math could also be interrogated in this as well because they can see other classmates work to see how they figured out problems and see if that is an easier way for them to understand. Its a good tool to use for students to write in as if they were journals for when they come in the mornings or even what they did over the weekend.
